Prep 4 Pupils Take Initiative with Litter Picking
Some Prep 4 pupils showed wonderful initiative last week by asking to litter pick around the school grounds. Inspired by lessons on community service, the boys put Hatheropian values into action, taking responsibility for their environment and setting a fantastic example of kindness, character and leadership for their peers.

Hatherop Pupils Shine at National Athletics Finals
The athletics season ended on a high at the National Prep Schools Athletics Championships in Birmingham, where two Hatherop pupils represented the Mercia region. Competing against top young athletes nationwide, one broke a long-standing school record. A proud moment for our school and an inspiration for future sporting success.

Hatherop Castle School’s Arts Week brought learning to life through a vibrant mix of creative workshops, performances and artistic exploration. Pupils from Reception to Prep 8 immersed themselves in everything from ceramics to theatre, culminating in a spectacular finale that celebrated imagination, talent and the adventure of learning through the arts.

Hatherop Castle Pupils Help Pollinators Thrive
Prep 1 at Hatherop Castle School explored biodiversity by raising caterpillars into butterflies, releasing them near our beehives to support local pollinators. This hands-on experience deepened their respect for nature and reflected our values of ambition and character, nurturing a lifelong appreciation for wildlife within our beautiful Cotswold estate.
Year 8 Take on International Street Food Challenge at Hatherop
Hatherop Castle School’s Year 8 pupils recently took part in a dynamic International Street Food Challenge, a highlight of their Leavers’ Programme. Working in teams, they created original street food dishes inspired by global cuisines. From budgeting and ingredient sourcing to cooking, presentation and marketing, pupils demonstrated creativity, teamwork and real-world enterprise skills. The judges were impressed by the variety, flavour and professionalism on display. It was a fantastic, hands-on day of learning, laughter and culinary adventure.
Hatherop Year 8 Pupils Awarded Multiple Scholarships
This year, Hatherop Castle pupils have earned an impressive total of seven scholarships to leading senior schools, including Roedean, Stowe, and Westonbirt. Awards were granted in academics, sport and music, highlighting the ambition, resilience and all-round excellence of our Year 8 cohort. These results reflect the strength of our academic and co-curricular provision, and our commitment to preparing pupils to thrive at the next stage of their education.
