New Term at Hatherop Castle School: Embracing Honesty and Bravery
There was a wonderful buzz of excitement across the grounds today as we welcomed pupils back for the start of the new term. From the moment the gates opened, it was clear how much the children had been looking forward to returning, catching up with friends, sharing holiday stories and diving back into the rhythm of school life.

This morning, Mr Reed gathered the whole school together for our first assembly of the term. He spoke about our new focus: being honest and brave. With warmth and clarity, he reminded the children that these qualities will not only help them in their learning but also in the way they treat one another, face challenges and embrace opportunities.
It was inspiring to see the children listening so intently and reflecting on what honesty and bravery might mean for them, whether it’s trying something new in the classroom, putting themselves forward on the sports field, or simply speaking up when something feels difficult.

We are excited for the term ahead, confident that with honesty and bravery at the heart of all we do, it promises to be another rewarding and memorable chapter in the Adventure of Childhood at Hatherop Castle School.
