Prep 4 Pupils Take Initiative with Litter Picking

At Hatherop Castle, we are always proud when our pupils demonstrate the values of responsibility, kindness and service to others, and this was shown in abundance last week by some of our Prep 4 boys.

Following on from last term’s lessons on service to our community, a group of pupils approached their teacher on Friday to ask whether they could carry out a litter pick around the school grounds. This was entirely their own idea, showing real initiative and a genuine desire to care for their environment.

Armed with bags and litter pickers, the children set about tidying the site with enthusiasm. Their efforts not only helped to keep our beautiful grounds looking their best but also served as a fantastic example to their peers of what it means to live out Hatheropian values in everyday life.

We are delighted to see pupils taking such pride in their surroundings and taking action to make a positive difference. Well done to our Prep 4 boys for leading by example!
