Fencing Fun at Hatherop Castle: Join Our Enrichment Programme

At the start of each term, all pupils at Hatherop Castle School are given the exciting opportunity to try fencing, either within their year group or on a one-to-one basis. As part of our wider enrichment programme, children can also take part in a weekly fencing club, with sessions held after school on Thursdays for prep school pupils, and at lunchtime on Fridays for Prep 2.

Our fencing club follows a structured learning course, offering pupils the chance to earn nationally recognised proficiency awards. For those with a passion for the sport, there is even the opportunity to train for competitions at local, regional, national, and international levels. With a rich heritage of past national champions, Hatherop Castle is proud of its fencing tradition – and, as you can see, it’s great fun learning to duel with friends!
