Inspiring Futures: Prep 7 and 8 Explore Career Pathways

Prep 7 and 8 were recently treated to an inspiring series of career talks, designed to open their eyes to the wide range of opportunities that lie beyond school. We were delighted to welcome three fantastic visitors, Mrs Campbell, Mrs Mason and Mr Cadiff, who generously shared their time, expertise and enthusiasm from very different professional fields.

Across the sessions, pupils were introduced to the worlds of film directing, equestrian and veterinary science, and pathology, discovering just how varied and exciting future careers can be. Each speaker offered a unique insight into their profession. From the creativity, collaboration and problem-solving behind directing a film, to the dedication and specialist knowledge required when working with animals, and the precision and scientific expertise involved in pathology, pupils gained a real understanding of what these careers look like in practice.

Our Prep 7 and 8 pupils fully embraced the opportunity, arriving with thoughtful questions and engaging eagerly throughout. They were keen to explore not only the day-to-day realities of each role, but also the personal journeys, challenges and rewards experienced along the way. Their curiosity and enthusiasm were evident, and the sessions undoubtedly helped to broaden their horizons and spark new interests.

We are incredibly grateful to our visitors for giving up their time to invest in our pupils’ futures. Their insights and encouragement have made a lasting impression, helping our pupils to begin imagining the many exciting pathways that lie ahead.
