Why we moved to Hatherop
“Moving schools is a scenario which always requires much soul searching and thought for parents. It can be a worrying time..
We were factoring in our own friendship groups as well as our son’s. Ultimately however we trusted our instinct that he needed more space and we trusted Hatherop’s promise to do everything possible to make it a smooth transition.
A new environment doesn’t wave a magic wand over a child, but it’s a move we have never regretted. Children do still miss well established friends from local schools, but plenty of play dates sustain those relationships, whilst the Hatherop ethos helps them form new ones.
The bottom line is surely simple. If they are happy to get out the car to be here and happy to learn, it’s a great move for everyone. After that, everything else just falls into place.”
