Wheels, axles and pulleys! – Prep 2 adventures at LEGOLAND.

Prep 2 used Lego, cogs, gears and pulleys to create their own theme park rides during an amazing day at LEGOLAND this week, rounding off our first mini topic on Machines and Inventions. We also had the opportunity to experience machines at work on the real rides! We loved Pirate Falls, especially seeing the teachers getting soaking wet – luckily the weather was beautiful so we dried off quickly! The children soon became experts at spotting machines around the park and there were constant cries of, ‘There’s a wheel and axle!’ and ‘I see a pulley!’ amongst the screams and laughter on the rides. A final dizzying go on the Spinning Spider topped off our day before we set off home, tired but ready for a sing along on the coach journey!
