Those who plant a tree plant hope

It’s tree planting season and we were delighted to be able to plant two trees at Hatherop this week as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy project: a replacement lime for the drive and an Oak near the Sports Hall. Our sincere thanks to the PA and Mona Elisa for funding the trees. We also hope the children will be planting some willow domes at school in the coming weeks.

On a wider tree note, lots of Hatherop families have been helping to plant hedges and trees at the Blue Cross animal rehoming centre near Burford. They braved the elements and got stuck in, learning how to plant trees and the important role they play in supporting our local wildlife. If anyone would like to come and plant, there are lots of dates coming up and we’d love to see you: lucy.staveley@gmail.com
