Sports Review

Highlights from the week in PE

This week has seen the Pre-Prep become fully engaged in their Physical Development (P.D) lessons. The topic this term is ball skills and gymnastics. Developing the fundamental basics of movement, spatial awareness and co-ordination is key for their learning.

Girls sport

This week has been another week of training for the girls where they have had lessons on grass and astro. We have continued to travel to Lechlade astroturf this week and we have worked on a variety of skills. The girls have worked hard the last 2 weeks and they are very excited for their first matches either next week of the week after. Please can we remind all parents that the children MUST have a gum shield and shin pads by next Monday.

Boys sports

This week the U12 boys travelled to Cricklade for training. This year Hatherop will combined at senior level, so some early bonding was crucial. The boys’ demonstrated some good agility, handling and sound knowledge of the laws governing the breakdown. Not to be out done, the boys’ in Reception showed where it all begins. It is fantastic to see the children in Pre-Prep learning the basics in hockey and rugby
