Some wonderful words of thanks

Over the past few months, we have had so many lovely emails from parents and children about the school and we would like to share a handful of them with you.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our families for their support and for showing true Hatherop spirit during this strange term.

On a separate note, I really should have written to you before now.  I cannot thank you and the staff (both academic and support staff) for the huge lengths you have all gone to in the past few months to enable the schooling to continue in such testing and bizarre circumstances!  I fully appreciate the enormous efforts you are all going to in making it all work – please pass on my thanks to your entire team!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for such wonderful support and hard work you have all put in for the pupils, during these very challenging times. I have been impressed by the way both xxxxxxx and xxxxxxxxx have adapted, and this is thanks to you.

Thank you for all you are doing and a special thanks to Rose’s fabulous year 7 teachers, I have been very impressed with their seamless and positive teaching, we are very lucky.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for the way you have led the school during these unprecedented times.  It must have been a steep learning curve – you all had to adapt so quickly – but for us on the receiving end, it seemed to happen effortlessly.   So a big thank you for continuing to provide excellent teaching.   Xxxxxxxx’s experience of online learning has been very positive.  She is motivated to do her work every day and tackles it with enthusiasm.  This is completely down to her teachers who have been incredibly supportive – Mr Bailey’s form time with the girls has been great and he even sent a postcard a few days ago!  Really lovely touches which mean so much during the lock down.

I realised also, that I haven’t written to say thank you to the teachers and yourself, the assignments being sent are excellent quality and I really feel that XXXX is continuing to receive a high level of education at this time.  I imagine that it is very challenging for you all having some classes in school, some online and to top it off, the government flip flopping the rules on you. Hatherop Castle is most certainly rising to the challenge and providing excellent tuition, I feel very thankful that XXXXX is at such a lovely school.

I just wanted to thank and commend you on the way you have managed this current situation. The communication to the parents has been 1st class and the measures you have put in place are all proportionate and understandable. We appreciate that things may change over the next couple of weeks but are entirely supportive of your efforts to re-establish some sort of normality for our children, and us!

It would be remiss if me not to mention the fantastic work of your teaching staff over the last 10 weeks – in particular Mrs Pearce, Mrs Thomasin-Foster and Miss Buck. They have all done a great job in very challenging circumstances.
