Prep 6’s coastal adventure!

Prep 6 had an amazing time down in Dorset last week. The children experienced a ‘Coastal Adventure’ participating in activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, sea fishing, kayaking as well as spending some time around camp playing team building games and developing on their Bushcraft knowledge from last year.

One of the highlights of the week was coasteering which really challenged the children to push their boundaries and take risks in a controlled environment with highly trained and experienced instructors. They spent the morning learning skills and practising entry and exit drills before taking part in the open water swim and cliff jumping in the afternoon.

On the final day after a 3 hour trek to the beach, the children enjoyed some beach games and a BBQ before heading home. We were truly blessed with the weather and, although slightly chilly on the evenings, the sun shone most days which added to the overall positive experience. A fantastic week was had by all and everyone came back feeling super proud of themselves, rather wind swept and sun kissed but extremely happy and totally exhausted!
