The games staff have seen an incredible development in the children’s running, co-ordination and physical development over the term. Pre-Prep have worked extremely hard in lessons and therefore I was confident that the Pre-Prep sports day would go well.
The Pre-Prep Sports Day is always a bright, colorful and vibrant occasion and the children did extremely well in each of their events. One child said “I love the ‘Sack Race’ as it always makes me laugh.”
The sprint races were excellent. New school records were broken in the following races; U6 girls 50m sprint, U6 boys 50m sprint and the U7 girls 50m. In the 200m, 2 ½ seconds were taken off the existing record. A great performance and day! Well done!
The Mixed U6 & U7 4 x 50m Relays were a great way to finish sports day. Well done to Moorhead for winning both races. Two teams broke the school record by over 1 ½ seconds. A super speedy Prep 1 child also broke two records, well done!
I thought the Pre-Prep children showed great determination and resilience throughout the morning. They also managed to smile throughout! What is there not to love about competitive sport!
