Life as a boarder is wonderful!
After a long and enjoyable summer, it is always so good to see the boarding house buzzing again.
What is happening this term?
This year, more Hatherop pupils than ever have decided to join the boarding community. Weekends are never quiet at Hatherop for our boarders! Trips to Gloucester rugby club, go karting, as well as trips up to London, Bath and Bristol for a mixture of fun and culture.
During the week, sailing and horse riding activities also resume for boarders on Monday and Tuesday nights, along with extra study sessions in the run up to the exams later this term. We will also be providing the usual tuck shop, bike ride adventures, hot chocolate movie nights, hide and seek in the castle and much much more!
New staff members joining our team
We are thrilled to welcome Miss Harvey and Miss Ratagen, two former ‘Hatheropians’. They are both very excited to get involved and make their mark from the other side of the fence, but may find it slightly strange walking into the staff room being former pupils! Miss Woodhouse is also joining the team, an experienced boarding tutor previously from Walhampton Prep School, who will also be teaching in Pre-Prep.
The top corridor has been decorated and the boarders’ running and rowing machines are set and ready to go. All in all exciting times ahead, come and join the fun!
