If you go down to the woods today…….
Forest Learning in the Nursery
The Transition class have been having a brilliant time in the woods this term. The Forest environment has provided the children with all sorts of possibilities for learning outdoors, stretching their imagination and promoting co-operation and consideration for each other and the wildlife that inhabit the woods. Wild bird feeders and wind chimes are now hanging in the trees and if you look on the forest floor you will find some homes for hibernating hedgehogs and insects. The children have built dens and camp fires and decorated the area with bunting made from leaves. The opportunities for learning are endless and everyone looks forward to these exciting weekly sessions.
