Gardening galore! Reception children create their own sensory garden
There has been great excitement in the stable yard amongst the Reception children. Since returning from the Easter break, they have set to work creating their own area to grow some produce, including radishes, potatoes and lettuce and more!
The children loved filling up their planters with soil and then sewing the different seeds. They took great care to ensure each one was planted correctly and then covered up with soil and watered in. Each day, they tend to their planters and have quickly learnt that plants require sunlight, air and water in order to thrive. They are very much looking forward to observing the changes that occur during the growing process and hopefully sampling some of the end products!
Please do visit the stableyard and have a look!
