From one Castle to another…

The rain greeted Prep 2 and Prep 7 as they entered the grounds of Warwick Castle. It did not dampen their spirits, nor did it last long. Both year groups enjoyed an almost Spring day at the ancestral home of the Earl of Warwick, The Kingmaker. Prep 7 were subjected to torture, plague, judgement and witchcraft; a fairly unusual Hatherop History lesson, before entering the Castle dungeon to face it all over again.

Prep 2 toured the Castle and it’s battlements then learned about shields and pageantry. Both year groups had a fantastic day culminating in a bird of prey display before heading back home to Hatherop, tired, but full of history.
