Food glorious food!
We’ve had a busy few weeks in the Food Technology room, creating lots of delicious aromas and catching many a passer-by’s nose! Prep 2 have been concentrating their learning on biscuit making, by designing and researching the different ingredients that they could use, they also learnt how to take into account the healthy eating plate and which ingredients might be better balanced for our tummies!
In middle school have not only made some yummy dishes, they have looked at what information they are able to get from the labels on packaging and with this knowledge they have discovered how much sugar there is in some soft drinks and also in certain breakfast cereals, some of the results certainly surprised them.
