Exciting Pre-Prep Developments are underway

This week our site team have been working tirelessly to empty the Art room on the ground floor of the stable yard which will be used to temporarily house Prep 2 while their classrooms are being renovated. The first phase is for Mrs Thomasin-Foster’s Prep 2 class to move downstairs to this room, allowing our site team to re-wire, redecorate and carpet her classroom. 2TF will then move back upstairs into their newly decorated classroom to allow Mrs Lazenby’s class to move downstairs creating the blank canvas for the team to renovate their current classroom.

It is expected this work will take most of this term to complete, before we start redecorating the Art room and boot room into new classrooms which Prep 1 will then use. This marks a very exciting time for the Pre-Prep as alongside the internal redecoration we are also developing the outside space both in the stable yard area and within the walled garden where the Pre-Prep spend some of their break times.

Hatherop’s Pre-Prep has always been and will continue to be a creative and inspirational learning environment where our younger pupils get to develop confidence, take risks, play and learn creatively and foster a love of learning that will provide the foundation they deserve which they will feed off for the rest of their education. It is exciting that as classrooms and outside spaces are developed our environment will be enhanced, further providing beautiful learning spaces the children can continue to thrive in. We look forward to sharing with you some photos as these rooms start to take shape.
