Bah Humbug!
Despite the sunshine and the warm weather, Prep 5, 6, 7 and 8 were treated to a Drama Workshop today based on “A Christmas Carol.” In collaboration with the Barn Theatre, a visiting actor inspired the children and introduced them to this work by Charles Dickens.
The morning involved creating Dickensian street scenes, presenting group tableaus involving Ebenezer Scrooge and the ghosts, and thinking about the enduring appeal of this classic. We all now feel inspired and ready for our visit later in the term to The Barn Theatre in Cirencester to see this new adaptation of a festive favourite.
