Speech Day and the end of term 2017

The end of the summer term is always extremely busy and this year was no different! With Speech day, the senior production of Flapper and Leavers lunch it was a fantastic way to end the academic year and celebrate the success of the children.

The production of Flapper was a fun filled show which got everyone singing and dancing to the brilliant songs. All of the children involved put in a huge amount of effort and if you were lucky enough to watch the show the enthusiasm was infectious.

Speech day and Leaver’s lunch is always a mixture of excitement and sadness and we are saying goodbye to the Year 8 pupils as they move on to their next schools. It was a very successful morning ending with a beautiful performance of ‘For Good’ by the Senior Chapel Choir.

Following on from Speech Day was Leavers Lunch, Holroyd Howe served a delicious lunch, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The highlight of the day for the children was certainly the surprise visit from the fire engine! The children and some staff ended up getting very wet as they were sprayed from all directions with the hoses!

A fabulous day enjoyed by all, we wish all the children leaving us the best of luck as they move on to their next schools.
