Hatherop Castle gets the thumbs up from Tatler!

Tatler recently sent their spies to visit Hatherop Castle; the outcome was the following complimentary write up in the Tatler Schools Guide 2017…

Hatherop Castle

Wind your way through picture-postcard Gloucestershire villages and, lo, there’s the breathtakingly romantic 17th century house where Nancy Mitford was once a pupil. (Very smart visitors’ loo, notes our spy.) The delightful Paul and Sally Easterbrook have moved on after 25 years; Nigel Reed and his wife Jo have taken over. Lucky them, we say – thanks to a much-needed cash injection from the Wishford Schools group, Hatherop is gleaming like never before, with a swish new performing-arts centre; next on the list, a new Astro and ‘horticulture area’. Pupils’ academic performance is polished too – leavers spring on to Marlborough, Abingdon and Dean Close. Boarding is mainly flexi – the small handful of full-boarders have a whale of a time at weekends. ‘A wonderful school on every level,’ says a parent.
