This year’s Harvest Festivals took place in St. Nicholas’ Church on Wednesday 4th October. The Pre-Prep children brought in a huge variety of food gifts to be distributed and the pupils in the Prep school brought in donations, all in aid of our chosen charity The Salvation Army.
We were lucky enough to have two speakers from the charity, at both the Prep and Pre-Prep services, who spoke to the children about the wide range of activities that the charity supports in the local and regional community.
Prep 2 did particularly well leading the Pre-Prep service, presenting a range of poetry and prayers as well as singing on their own.
In the Prep service, the senior Chapel Choir, the Junior Choir and the pupils in Prep 6, 7 and 8 all helped us to reflect on how fortuitous we are and the ways in which we could all help those less fortunate than ourselves.
