Hatherop Castle, Adventure of Childhood

Forces families

Hatherop Castle has a long history of serving families within the Armed Forces and we do all we can to support service personnel and their children.

For those children whose families are posted elsewhere, our warm and friendly boarding house is a happy and reassuring  home-from-home. With 22 acres of glorious grounds for a back garden and exciting and varied trips every weekend, Hatherop Castle is a beautiful place to enjoy their childhood.

We understand that life in the Forces can be unpredictable. Our extremely flexible boarding options allow children to stay full time, for ad hoc periods or for a set number of days a week to suit them and their parents.

Where the parents of day pupils are posted away from the area, the usual requirement of a term’s notice is waived, although children may, of course, convert to full-time boarding for as long as necessary.

We also offer a competitive fee structure:

The discount is applicable for children from Reception (the term after the child turns 5).

Forces families in receipt of the CEA pay no more than 10% of the listed fees.

Forces families not in receipt of the CEA benefit from a 20% discount for full boarding pupils or a 10% discount for day pupils (effective September 2018).
