About Boarding
AIMS AND ETHOS
We pride ourselves on the friendly, family atmosphere in the Boarding House. We aim to be very flexible, encouraging would be boarders at the age of 7, to come in for one or two nights a week as a one off or on a regular basis. Parents and relatives are most welcome to come and visit or take the children out for tea on special occasions such as birthdays.
We run a very busy weekend programme with many exciting trips to keep the children fully occupied to avoid too many quiet moments. We also have a number of hobbies running throughout the evenings.
Both the Headmaster and his wife assist with evening duties in order to ensure there is always a parent figure around to offer reassurance. The pastoral care at Hatherop Castle is excellent, reflecting that every child really matters.
